Making Oklahoma: A History
Web-Based Digital Publication
Clients: Authors of Making OklahomaMaking Oklahoma: A History is an open-source, web based digital textbook created through close to a decade of collaboration by several university educators from around Oklahoma who wanted to create a reliable, living resource available to all Oklahomans and beyond. I was tasked with taking hundreds of pages of manuscripts and translating them into an easy to navigate, visually appealing, digital book. Additionally, as a fully fleshed out learning resource, they also wanted to provide ancillary workbook materials for students to complete in tangent with the textbook, which included creating a look and feel that could be translated to over 10 different templates for student and educator materials.
I provided art direction for the end-to-end design of this project through every level of fidelity while working closely with the client to make sure their vision would be realized how they imagined, after all these years.
Making Oklahoma was launched Summer 2026 and is currently in review to be cleared for use throughout Oklahoma schools.
